UES5 SPD Surge Protection Device product classification:

– T1 class products are mainly used for the first level of lightning protection of TN-C power supply system.
-T2 class products are suitable for AC 50Hz/60Hz, the product built-in overheat and overcurrent protection function, reliable indication of working status, and can be with remote contact function, remote monitoring, mainly

UES5 Surge Protection Device (SPD) Related Terms And Definitions

– Nominal discharge current In: Under the condition that SPD is not physically damaged, the input end of each phase or module of SPD is discharged to the ground according to the specified number of times and the specified waveform
Is the current peak value of the sustained current.
– Maximum discharge current Imax: flows through SPD, with a peak current of 8/20 waveform, the value of which is determined according to the program of the class II operating load.
– Maximum impulse current Iimp: flows through SPD, with a peak current of 10/350 waveform, the value of which is determined by the program of the Class I operating load.
– Voltage protection level Up: indicates the maximum instantaneous voltage at both ends of a surge arrester after it is triggered.
– Residual voltage: peak voltage between SPD terminals when the discharge current flows through SPD terminals.
– Class T1 lightning arrester (Class I) : due to special design, it can withstand the energy of direct lightning and release part of the direct lightning current.
– Class T2 lightning arrester (Class II) : Lightning arrester capable of releasing electrical surges caused by remote or conducted lightning strikes and switching.
– T3 lightning arrester (Level III) : Precision protection lightning arrester designed to protect terminal loads.
– Protective fuse (backup fuse) at the front end of the surge arrester: A front fuse must be installed at the front end of all surge arresters connected to the phase line.
