DW15 ACB Installation, Use And Maintenance

DW15-1600, 2500, 6300 universal ACB breaker, mainly suitable for rated current from 630A to 5000A; Rated operating voltage AC 50Hz,380V power distribution network, used to distribute power and protect lines and power equipment from overload, undervoltage and short circuit faults and other dangers. Under normal conditions, the universal ACB air circuit breaker can be used as an infrequent conversion of the line.

DW15 ACB Air Circuit Breaker Installation

① Before installation, check whether the circuit breaker specifications meet the requirements.

② Check the insulation resistance between the circuit breaker pole and pole, pole and housing, pole and mounting board with a 500V meohm meter, which should not be less than 10MΩ. If the product is lower than 10MQ, it cannot be used. Contact the supplier for timely replacement.

③ When the circuit breaker is installed, its base shall be perpendicular to the horizontal position and fixed by four M10 bolts, and the circuit breaker shall be installed smoothly, without additional mechanical stress, and must be reliably grounded, and the grounding bolt shall be marked with a mark.

④ It is recommended that the cross-sectional area of the connection wire be consistent with the rated current of the trip device to protect the circuit breaker from normal operation.

Air Circuit Breaker ACB Series

Use Procedure Of DW15 ACB Air Circuit Breaker

After the ACB is installed, please perform the following operation test before the main circuit is powered on. The steps are as follows:

1) Should be carefully checked, there is no foreign matter into the circuit breaker, if there must be removed. Keep the circuit breaker clean.

2) The secondary circuit is properly connected according to the relevant line diagram, and check whether the operating voltage of the components such as undervoltage, shunt, and electromagnet is consistent, and then the secondary circuit is energized, the undervoltage release device should be drawn, and the circuit breaker can be operated.

3) When the circuit breaker is electrically closed, power the motor to the “storage energy” display. When pre-stored energy is required, the releasing electromagnet must be energized and the circuit breaker closed. When there is no pre-storage energy requirement, the circuit breaker closes immediately after the end of the motor storage energy, and the noise caused by metal friction when the motor rotates during the electric storage energy is a normal phenomenon.

4) After the circuit breaker is closed, the circuit breaker should be disconnected regardless of the undervoltage, shunt or hand press the “o” button or hand press the armature on any phase of the electromagnetic release.

DW15 ACB Air Circuit Breaker Maintenance

① When the circuit breaker is found to have special noise in the iron core during use, the anti-rust oil should be wiped off the working pole surface and re-coated with clean anti-rust grease.

② Each rotating part of the circuit breaker should be injected with lubricating oil regularly or a certain number of times during use.

③ Circuit breakers should be maintained regularly and cleaned of dust to maintain the insulation level of circuit breakers.

④ As the circuit breaker is a more important electrical component in the power grid, it is recommended that the user six months to a year power outage comprehensive repair.

Check The DW15 ACB Contact System Regularly  

① The circuit breaker should regularly check the contact system (open the arc extinguishing cover), especially when the short circuit current breaks, it must be checked.

a) The circuit breaker must be in the off position and the incoming power supply must be cut off;

b) The smoke marks on the circuit breaker contact system should be wiped with alcohol. The main contact of this circuit breaker uses high-quality silver alloy contacts. Even if there are small metal particles on the surface, it does not affect the performance, and it does not need to be removed;

c) If the thickness of the contact is less than 1mm, it should contact the supplier and replace the contact in time.

② When the circuit breaker encounters the short circuit current, in addition to checking the contact, it is necessary to clean the smoke marks on the two walls of the arc extinguisher. If the arc extinguisher grid plate is seriously burned or the arc extinguisher is broken, it is not allowed to be used again and the arc extinguisher must be replaced.
